WBM Announces Acquisition of Agilisys

One of Western Canada’s Leading F5 Solutions Integrators Set to Bring Best in Class IT Security Competencies to WBM

WBM Office Systems today announced that it has acquired Calgary based Agilisys, a leading provider of F5 implementation and infrastructure management services across western Canada.

The move represents an investment by WBM in the strategic business requirements of their Managed IT Services community, ensuring customers are in a strong position with regard to the growing imperative of IT security.

In joining WBM, the Agilisys team will continue to operate as usual, delivering on the many projects and ongoing engagements currently underway. “To us at Agilisys, this is an opportunity about values, culture, and people. WBM and Agilisys share mutual customers, we have worked alongside the WBM team, and we’ve of course followed their story. We couldn’t be more excited that as of today we get to be a part of it,” states Bill Sullivan, Partner and Business Development Manager at Agilisys.

“We are thankful to our customers and partners, and we remain 100% focused on delivering the results they require and have come to expect. For us to be able to do that, and to now be able go beyond in pursuing our vision of broadened security value as part of WBM, it is really a tremendous feeling.”

For WBM, the acquisition comes on the heels of the recent announcement that the company is now ranked as the 40th largest Managed IT Services provider in the world, and 4th largest in Canada according to the just released MSPMentor501 rankings.

Brett Bailey, Vice President with WBM, says the move is not a large one in terms of numbers, but that it is significant because of the people and the direction. “Today we get to welcome some fantastic people into the WBM family. They share the values that we admire so much, and it’s probably not a coincidence that we already find ourselves working with many of the same great customers.”

Bailey says that the move to bring Agilisys into the WBM fold is reflective of the growing demand for managed security solutions across western Canada.

“We see Agilisys as best in class in what they do, and we see their passion in working with businesses to understand and to optimize the security solutions they have in place. This is a clear fit with us, as together we are in position to deliver, monitor, and govern the impact of these solutions. This is really about the direction that our community of customers and technology partners are taking us in.”

Under the terms of the agreement, all Agilisys staff will join WBM as part of the WBM Managed IT Services team, working out of the company’s Calgary Operations Centre effective immediately. WBM has continued along a steady trajectory of growth and investment, including the construction of remote monitoring and IT infrastructure operation centres in Saskatoon, Calgary, and Regina, and a staff count that will rise to 220 people across western Canada with this announcement.
