December 18th, 2020 (Saskatoon) – WBM Technologies (WBM) is pleased to announce the successful completion of all audits and internal reviews related to two internationally recognized compliance and cyber security certifications provided by MSPAlliance.

Receiving these certifications is the culmination of hundreds of hours of work delivered by WBM teams across western Canada. The associated controls and policies apply to all WBM business units and Infrastructure Operations Centres (IOCs). These certifications demonstrate an ongoing focus on the evolution of our services, but are also key validations of security and consistency for our clients.

Cyber Verify™ AA Risk Assurance Rating for Managed Services and Cloud Providers
Cyber Verify is based on the Unified Certification Standard™ (UCS) for Cloud and Managed Service Providers and governed by the International Association of Cloud and Managed Service Providers.

Cyber Verify evaluates internal service delivery security practices, business continuity of the provider, cyber insurance usage, and many other characteristics which are important in the evaluation process of customers seeking out professional and secure providers.

MSP Verify Program (MSPCV) SOC 2 Type 1 Certification
Achievement of SOC 2 Type 1 certification under the MSP Verify Program relies on 10 control objectives and underlying controls that constitute crucial building blocks of a successful managed services (and cloud computing) practice. Once the provider’s organization has completed all MSPCV documentation on all applicable control objectives (with the assistance of MSPAlliance’s readiness assessments, gap analysis, helpful templates, and consulting) the results are then examined by an independent third-party accounting firm for verification and signing of a public facing report.
As with any other substantive certification of this type, the MSPCV certification must be renewed annually. The MSPCV was the first certification created specifically for the managed services and cloud industry. The MSPCV has been reviewed by governmental agencies and regulatory bodies across the globe and is used and accepted in 5 continents around the world.
