WBM Technologies Announces the Acquisition of PrinterWorks West

SASKATOON, Saskatchewan, Canada — June 1, 2023 — WBM Technologies LP is pleased to announce the acquisition of leading Alberta print technology solutions provider, PrinterWorks West. The move brings together two of Canada’s strongest managed print support organizations and represents a continued focus and commitment to their united Alberta customer community.

Together with PrinterWorks West, WBM will now be home to over 50 dedicated Managed Print Support Technicians in the province of Alberta alone, while adding a new support service location in Fort McMurray. The two companies form a team that is over 570 people strong, with a shared focus on being Western Canada’s leading managed IT solutions provider.

While today’s announcement is exciting in the leadership position it establishes, the best part of all is the spirit and enthusiasm that we can already feel across our organizations. WBM is ready to provide the investment and support needed to advance, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome this talented group of people to our team and to be a part of their success.

As part of the acquisition, Darryl Henderson will continue to lead the PrinterWorks West team in Alberta, and he will now join the WBM Technologies Leadership team. Founder Jonathan Ceaser will retire from the business, capping his successful career.

“Building PrinterWorks West has been an awesome journey, and today is the next step as we have joined one of the most respected and admired companies in our industry,” says PrinterWorks West President Darryl Henderson. “It was important for us to be able to move ahead in our growth, while staying local and remaining true to our values and our customers. With WBM, we’ve achieved exactly that.”

The acquisition is effective June 1, 2023. PrinterWorks West will continue to operate under the PrinterWorks West banner, now “Powered by WBM”, with no disruption or changes to PrinterWorks West customer services.

Moving forward, customers of PrinterWorks West can expect to see new value from WBM’s sophisticated automation, analytics, and fleet reporting insights, along with access to a full suite of outcomes-based technology solutions across the WBM Enterprise Experience Platform. The news is also significant to the WBM customer community, who will benefit from expanded print support expertise, coverage, and capacity across Alberta.
