Community School to Receive iPad Technology to Enrich Student Experience
As almost 400 IT leaders from across Canada converge on Saskatoon for a series of significant economic announcements, Saskatchewan-based WBM Office Systems will make a significant contribution to Vincent Massey Community School through local charity Care & Share.
“We offer various programs and opportunities for the children in Saskatoon’s 17 community schools,” said Sandi Meldrum, Executive Director of Care & Share. “WBM really takes a step outside of the box. It’s not just about the monetary donations; they are giving students hope for a brighter future and involving them in activities they can be proud of. WBM is a great mentor to Vincent Massey School and a wonderful friend to Care & Share.”
WBM will be donating a number of iPad2 mobile devices to the school’s teachers for use in the classroom. And through an attendance incentive program, two students will be awarded with their very own iPads. Friday’s announcement will feature local band The Gutterdogs and Vincent Massey’s school choir performing The Beatles’ “With A Little Help From My Friends”.
